i installed a short-throw in my car about 2 weeks ago and I love it. However i did not pay attention to the rubber mount that holds the shifter at the proper height. Yesterday, during a bout of "spirited" driving, I shifted my car into 3rd and the shifter dropped. I slowly coast to a stop scared to release the handle in fear of it falling out of the bottom of my car. I get to the house and take it all apart expecting my bracket to be broken in two only to find that it was just the rubber mount. I bought the NA because I figured it would be a low maintenance DD, but since purchase, I've replaced the radiator, fans, A/C compressor clutch, thermostat, rotors, and a few fuel lines. Guess that's what I get for forgetting that it was still a Z :P
